عن أبي زيد الأنصاري رضي الله عنه قال: قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «اقتَرِب منِّي»، فاقتربتُ منه، فقال: «أَدْخِلْ يدك فامْسَح ظهري» ، قال: فأدْخلتُ يدي في قميصه، فمسَحتُ ظهْره، فَوَقَع خاتَم النبوة بين إصبعي، قال: فسُئل عن خاتَم النبوة، فقال: «شَعْرات بيْن كتِفيْه».
English translation
Abu Zayd al-Ansāri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) once said to me: "Get near to me," and I did. Hence, he asked me to put my hand (underneath his shirt) to massage his back. When I began massaging his back, my fingers accidentally touched the seal of prophet-hood.
He (Abu Zayd) was asked about the seal of prophet-hood and replied: "It consisted of hair between his shoulders."

Explanation of the hadith
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) asked Abu Zayd al-Ansāri to get near to him. When Abu Zayd did that, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) asked him to put his hand underneath his shirt in order to massage his back. Abu Zayd,(may Allah be pleased with him) put his hand underneath the shirt of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and massaged his back. When he began massaging, his fingers accidentally touched the seal of prophet-hood. He was asked what the seal of prophet-hood was like and replied that it consisted of hair between the shoulders of the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him).
